Mallory's 1st Birthday

On April 16, my sweet pooka turned one. I can not believe how fast that one flew. It seems like I was just in the hospital. Mallory had a safari themed party at the house. She had so much fun! It was great to see everyone and share this day with us. I really do not have a whole bunch of time, so I will just let ya see some cute pictures of her everyday changes.

Summer Vacation 2007

I have finally found some time to write about our wonderful summer vacation. I forgot how much crap one has to pack with a 3 month old!! Mallory had four bags, Leah had two, then my big suitcase, oh yeah, and Jared's itty bitty bag. The trunk was loaded. Theresa, my sister, came along for the trip too. We had a very relaxing and much needed break. Leah and I went para sailing for the first time. I was so nervous, but Leah acted like she had done this already. She was talking nonstop the entire time we were up in the air. I am trying my very best to compose myself. Once we got back on the boat, I felt a great sense of relief. Even though I was a bit scared, I guess I would do it again. Packing up to go home was a sight. I shopped so much that Jared told me not to open the trunk because he might not get it shut again. I do love my car, but truly miss the SUV!!!

Mallory Kaye

Finally, I have some time to jot down a few lines about our new addition, Mallory Kaye. She is such a joy to have. I am so blessed to have another beautiful child that we all simply adore. She is now a little over 2 months. Her sleeping patterns are wonderful at night only. She has mastered sleeping through the night, but she does not take naps!! Hopefully that will change. For right now it is fine with me. She is also cooing and smiling up a storm. Whenever I change her diaper, she gets so tickled by the movements and is starting to laugh. I love it. Leah is getting better about being a big sister. Whenever Mallory cries, she says, "momma just leave her in the bed, she will be alright." So, she is adjusting....somewhat!!

The Three Amigos Are About To Come To An End

Jared and I decided to take Leah out to the great city of Hammond this past weekend. I wanted to do something special with our only child one last time with the just the three of us. I must say that I am a bit sad that she will soon be having to share us. We explained to her how pretty soon she will not be the only one who gets to have us all to herself. She took it quite well with "okay whatever". I think I am taking this harder than she is!! Jeez!! Anyway, we took her to Global Wildlife Center. We all had such a great time. The only flaw.....I packed summer clothes, and we just about froze to death. It was nice to get away for two days and eat out like a bunch of hogs!! Leah could have stayed in the hotel room jumping from bed to bed all day long. We let her jump from the table to the bed almost all night long. She had a blast!! What a life!! Wait, Jared jumped on the beds and did a couple of rolls back and forth too!! He had to show her how it was done. I just sat there with my fat self and so wanted to jump on the beds, but I had to refrain. Oh the joys of being pregnant!! On a scrumdidilious note, I passed my 6th glucose test. This means that I do not have gestational diabetes. Praise the Lord and pass the Hallelujah! No more needles in my arms. Finally, my mood is a great one. Jared has finally put the baby bed together, and I got to put the bedding on. It looks absolutely adorable and ready for the baby. Oh by the way, we still do not have a name. Yes, I know it is getting to the nitty gritty, only 6 weeks, but I am at a loss.

Not a Happy Camper!!

Here is the latest on my pregnancy..... As many of you know, I have had to take glucose tests numerous times during this pregnancy. Well, Friday January 26th, I had to take my fifth test. The nurse called me yesterday to let me know that I was a bit high on the test. So, on Monday, I have to do this all over again. This process takes 3 hours of blood work with nothing to eat from the time I wake up until noon. Hopefully this will be my last test, but I do believe my hope is running out. I guess I really should not be complaining because it could be worse, but I just need to vent for a bit. Keep me in your prayers before I loose my mind!! Moving on... I finally got Jared to pull the baby bed down from the attic. This has been an ongoing battle as well. Men!! Now the bed is not put together just yet, but at least it is in the baby room just waiting to be tackled. This just gives me one more thing to nag about. Bless his little heart though. He has been a trooper throughout my moods, cravings, nagging, moods again, and "do you think I look fat in this" comments!! I love him so much!! Leah keeps bugging me about when the baby is coming. I guess it is time to make the construction paper links. I cant wait to see her reaction to this new world she about to be introduced to. My poor baby!!

It's A GIRL!!!!

I had my ultrasound on Thursday, December 7th. Jared and Leah sat pateintly in their seats to see the results. Well, Jared kinda squirmed and Leah hardly sat at all!! The nurse showed us her heart, lungs, limbs and head. She said everything looked great and she was right on target with everything. Our little baby only weighed 11 ounces. I was relieved that she was healthy. Anyway, the nurse continued to measure stuff on her until finally, it was time for the sex. Yep, another girl. Poor Jared!! He had the nerve to ask, "How do you get a boy?" Men!! So, on April 20th, I will have by C-section another beautiful baby girl. I am in need of names. For once in my life I am at a loss for words. Leah told Jared that if we have another girl he was on strike number 3 and he had to move into the trunk of our car to live. She is too funny!!

Leah's Big Dance Recital

It is Leah's third year in dance. We had to sit through a very long five hour recital. If I had to see one more kid mess up shuffle step, I was going to just get up there and show em myself!! It was very cute to watch, but way too long. My baby, of course, shined like the dancing diva she is!! She did not crack one smile during her big debut. Her excuse.... momma, this girl kept messing me up!! Anyway, I hate doing recitals cause they make me tired. Oh now that is money well spent!! Afterwards, Leah picked one of her favorite restaurants, Semolinas. When she found out that they no longer give cookies after her meal, it has became a place where she never wants to eat again!! That works out just great with me. On a different note, everything is going just great so far with the pregnancy. We find out the sex on Dec. 7th at 9:15 a.m. We can't wait!! Of course I will post it, so be on the look out.
