Baby News

If you do not know by now, I am letting you know that Jared and I are expecting our second child on April 20. We are praying for a healthy child okay we hope its a healthy boy!! I will be ecstatic with another girl, but Jared is wanting that boy so bad. My parents have no grandsons, so this would be a miracle if it turns out to be a boy. I am feeling just fine but tired. I ate 4 lemons and a salty pickle last night. It was soooo good!! I did eat a lot of lemons when I was pregnant with Leah. I have not touched a lemon since she has been born, and last night that craving came back. Thank goodness I had some left over from the mililtary ball. I was so happy to see those lemons. Well, here is a picture of us from the ball. Yes, I was prego here and did not even know it.

Some old memories

My mom went through some of her old pictures, and she decided to give me a few. I love to see old and new pictures of anything relating to my childhood or my siblings. It seemed back in the day that every picture had a mysterious red tint to it. It looks like the same red blood they used in the hallway hotel of the Shining. If you have not seen that movie, and like a good horror movie, its pretty creepy. Anyway, I just thought some of you would like to see what I looked like as a child. Yes, I know that I have a mishaped head!! I told my mom that I must have been the ugliest kid to look at. She just told me..., but you grew up to be a beautiful woman. AWW thanks MOM!! Yeah, like I believe that one!! Enjoy the laugh.
Oh, by the way, in the red picture, I was 11 months, Theresa was 2, and Chris 7.

LSU vs. TULANE

On Saturday, Jared, Leah, and I ventured out to the craziness on the campus of LSU for the football game. I have not been to a game in a long time, and this place was packed!! Leah was so excited to see the cheerleaders. As we were walking to the game, I pointed out a male cheerleader. She was so shocked to learn that boys can cheer too!! We went to see the players, cheerleaders, and the band come up the hill. She was loving it. Jared on the other hand looked very unimpressed and bored (that is what happens when you are a BAMA fan). We followed the enormous crowd into the stadium. We had wonderful seats thanks to my sweet boss!! Leah did just fine until she ran out of candy and nachos. She wanted cotton candy, but there was not a lick of it in sight. We left before the game was over because it got kinda boring with LSU not really having a challenge of a real team to play. It did turn out to be a fun family outing.
P.S. My child does not own any LSU apparel, but I did manage to sneak off and get her some pompons and a LSU tatoo for her face. Jared was not pleased, but dealt with it. Hee Hee.
